Who needs to register with Paymate

You need to register with Paymate if you wish to receive payments by credit card.

You do NOT need to register with Paymate if you wish to make a payment using your credit card. Simply click on the Paymate Express Payment logo or link on the seller’s website, auction listing, online advertisement or Paymate’s Home page.

How to register with Paymate

Registration with Paymate is easy. Click on the "register now" button on the home page.

To register with Paymate you will need:

To select a Paymate Standard Account in Australia, New Zealand or the USA
To provide your personal address and contact details, including an email address
To select a username and password for secure access to your Paymate account
To read and accept our Terms of Use
To read and accept our Product Disclosure Statement and Financial Services Guide for our Financial Products (such as foreign exchange services)

After Registration

After registration you will need to log in, provide your bank account details and also an authority for Paymate to debit your account – we may need to do this for any payments you make, for any fees we may need to deduct on a monthly basis, and for any reversals of payments made to you should you receive a ‘charge-back’ for a credit card payment.

After you register, if you meet our MINIMUM requirements, we will respond immediately with a PROVISIONAL APPROVAL. This means your account is active to receive payments.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a PROVISIONAL REGISTRATION with some constraints on the payment amounts you can receive. We will review your account when you first receive a payment. Your business and personal information will be verified, a credit check may be made, and your website and/or eBay sales history will be reviewed. In some cases, you may be asked for additional documentation to verify information provided on your application.At this time we may place restrictions on your service based on your risk profile, ask for a security deposit or decline your account and withdraw our services. Paymate will not be liable for any fees, costs you may have incurred or lost sales as a result of these conditions or withdrawal of services.

NOTE: US sellers will need to complete an additional Merchant Details page after logging in to secure approval for credit card payments.

When you log in you can also change your Paymate Account type to better suit your needs. You can do this at anytime.
